In parallel, the Embassy represents Brazil to regional and international organizations present in the five countries under its jurisdiction, in particular agencies and programs of the United Nations, such as UNEP (Environment) and UN-Habitat (Human Settlements) both based in the Kenyan capital. The functions of consular representation to Brazilian individuals (citizens and companies) in these countries are also executed by the Embassy in Nairobi, through its Consular Section.
