I have been the President/CEO of Rebuilding Together Dayton since September 2009. Prior to that appointment, I served as Executive Director of the organization since July 1998. I founded the affiliate as a member of Preservation Dayton Inc. in 1996 and served as Board President for three years. I served on Rebuilding Together’s National Affiliate Council as affiliate liaison to affiliates in four states. I was selected as Executive Director of the Year by Rebuilding Together in 2012.The first year, the Dayton affiliate repaired 8 homes with 200 volunteers across Dayton. The program went year round/county-wide in 2001 in response to increasing need for urgent minor repairs and modifications.In 2021, Rebuilding Together Dayton served 346 residents in 215 unduplicated households with 1,563 repairs with a $1,426,563 impact on our community. The average age of those served was 70; they had an annual income of $21k; and had lived in their homes for 27 yearsI served on the Public Arts Commission and Landmarks Commission for the City of Dayton. I was President of Dayton View Historic Association for four years. I am a 1995 graduate of Dayton’s Neighborhood Leadership Institute and a 2002 graduate of Leadership Dayton. I was one of the Ten Top Women of Dayton in 2003 and was named one of the Dayton Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 for 2008. I served as the President of the Dayton Rotary Club 2016-17. I was named Daytonian of the Year in 2018 by Mayor Nan Whaley. Prior to being hired as the affiliate’s first Executive Director, I worked as a litigation paralegal for ten years at Thompson Hine and the NCR Corporation. I received a degree in Legal Assistance from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana.
