Since joining Structurlam Mass Timber Corporation (SMTC) in 2001, I have had the pleasure of contributing to the company in a variety of roles. In the process, I have cultivated a comprehensive understanding of mass timber design and the manufacturing process – from cadwork software to operations on the shop floor. Initially placed in the detailing department, I was then promoted to Plant Manager, and subsequently appointed to Director of Operations in 2011 before stepping into my current role. Throughout my tenure at Structurlam, I have overseen the investment in all new equipment, as well as the design and installation of all of our expansion projects across North America.It has been rewarding to see the visible impact of my familiarity and know-how of Structurlam’s systems and processes, and how it has furthered our impact on North America’s mass timber industry for the better.
