Brenda Cavanaugh

I have decades of experience in education, training, nonprofit management; Mediation/Facilitation and Human Resources. My career began as a high school teacher, in which I served in alternative and public schools for six years. I have continued to work with youth, in and outside of the school system, until the present, Including teaching classes for several years at Southern CT State University.I have served in nonprofit leadership positions for the past 15 years, handling all aspects of operations including networking/collaboration, budgeting, fundraising, grant management, on boarding/off boarding of staff, and Board relations. I currently work for the State of New Hampshire as a Training Coordinator, providing Leadership, Communication and Conflict Resolution training to supervisors and other potential leaders in the Department of Health and Human Services.I am trained in Mediation, Facilitation, Restorative Practices, Nonviolent Communication, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention and Conflict Resolution. I have been a mediator since 1996 and have handled over 250 cases in all subject matters. I have also facilitated large and small community groups and trained hundreds of youth and adults in Mediation, Facilitation and Restorative Practices. I have extensive HR experience, including union negotiations; employee grievances, FMLA, Worker's Comp, recruitment - all aspects of on boarding and off boarding and training compliance.
