With more than a decade of experience in Global and UK CEO positions, Hirst is widely recognised as an innovative and inspirational leader with a proven track record of successful business transformation - guiding businesses to award-winning creative success, record growth and lasting repetitional change. He is author of the best-selling and award winning book No Bullsh*t Leadership.Hirst's direct, clear and honest approach to leadership builds cultures which attract and retain the very best talent and that develop enduring, high-trust, relationships with their clients. He oversaw three years of record growth and profits (with a brief pause for covid!) and was shortlisted by Campaign Magazine as global CEO of the year in 2022. He led the launch of the Group’s sustainability practise, Havas Genus and oversaw multiple B-Corp accreditations including in the UK, US and the Netherlands. Under his tenure Havas UK's industry leading DE&I strategy was adopted across the global by Havas group.Prior to Havas, Hirst was the UK CEO of Grey (part of WPP) which more than tripled in size and quadrupled its profit during its transformation into one of the hottest, fastest growing and most creatively respected agencies in the world under his 5 year tenure. Culminating in being recognised as global creative network of the year in 2014.Chris went to his local state secondary school in Northumberland, is a graduate of Brasenose College Oxford (MEng Engineering Science) and Harvard Business School (Advanced Management Program). After an apprenticeship at Pilkington Glass in St Helens, he embarked on (an unlikely) career in advertising. No Bullsh*t Leadership has been in the best-seller charts since publication in 2019. It was named UK Business Book of the Year in 2020.
