I’m a technology leader and entrepreneur. My team and I use software and data science to create pioneering products at the intersection of AI/NLP and human capital management. I spent most of my career at JPMorgan building software for financial markets. I worked in London, Tokyo and New York. I became an MD running a global organization of 300. Then I left to start my own business, untapt, to solve the problem that had plagued me at JPM - why is so hard to hire engineers? At untapt we worked with GQR, the global talent acquisition business that’s one of the fastest growing recruitment firms on the planet. We collaborated on a groundbreaking invention at the forefront of AI and hiring. Our skills were perfectly complementary - untapt as technical leaders, GQR as recruitment leaders - so much so, that we decided to join forces. In 2020, untapt was acquired by GQR’s parent company, Wynden Stark, and Nebula was born. I’m now the CTO for Nebula, responsible for software engineering and data science. We’re an early stage startup, building SaaS recruitment products powered by AI that are set to transform the industry. Our stack is Python/Flask, React, Mongo, ElasticSearch, and we run with Kubernetes on GCP. We create Deep Learning/NLP models using TensorFlow and other NLP libraries.
