Erik Johnson

Erik Johnson has made a career in public speaking, marketing, coaching and solving problems for clients. Helping diverse groups of talented individuals work together to achieve common goals is his passion. Coaching, teaching and leading drive Erik’s work in a variety of areas, including radio, hockey, marketing, and podcasting. He is currently the Sr. Vice President of Programming in Omaha for iHeart Media. He is the Program Director for KGOR-FM and KISO-FM. Erik is also the Afternoon Drive personality on KXKT. Prior to joining iHeart Media in 2008, Erik signed on and spent ten years programming CHR KQCH-FM in Omaha, taking the station to #1 for Persons 12+ in the station’s first 12 months. He has also programmed Hot AC KSRZ/Omaha and Alternative KKNB/Lincoln. By coordinating multiple departments within the radio stations, Erik has helped create successful businesses. Through cross-departmental communication with technical engineers, creative on-air talent and “Type A” personality salespeople, he has been able to create cohesive teams that drove two separate radio stations to the top in both ratings and revenue. Erik holds a Masters of Business Administration and Bachelor’s of Architectural Science from the University of Nebraska. He is the Public Address announcer for the Omaha Lancers of the United States Hockey League. He spends time coaching high school state hockey champion Millard West High School and other hockey teams as a USA Hockey certified Level 5 coach.
