Francis X. Santangelo

Francis X. Santangelo was named senior vice president, global operations, for the Sotheby’s International Realty® brand in 2012. He is responsible for the brand’s business operations, which includes overseeing the planning and execution of its global networking opportunities and sponsorship and educational events, managing its referral process, enforcing brand standards and managing all global strategic relationships. Santangelo was one of the Sotheby’s International Realty brand’s first employees after Realogy Holdings Corporation (NYSE: RLGY) (then Cendant Corporation) entered into a long-term strategic alliance with Sotheby’s, the operator of the auction house in 2004 to acquire the license to develop an international luxury real estate network. He served as the brand’s general counsel from April 2004 to October 2012. Prior to joining Realogy, Santangelo spent more than seven years practicing corporate transactional law and licensing in New York City at Pryor Cashman, a large general practice law firm. Santangelo earned his bachelor’s degree in 1991 from Colgate University in Hamilton, N.Y. and his juris doctor in 1996 from St. John’s University in Queens, N.Y.
