As CEO of Oritain Global I am responsible for overseeing the commercialization of our scientific traceability service and the growth of our business globally.Our vision at Oritain is "To be the world's most trusted company at scientifically proving origin". We do this by independently & scientifically auditing supply chains to prove the origin of products. How? Oritain identifies unique geographical locators within products. These indicators link a product back to its origin and are inherent in the product – they are there as a result of the normal growth and development, cannot be copied and stay with the product along the supply chain. Unlike traceability which follows the packaging, we are inherent within the product . Prior to becoming involved with Oritain I have gained experience in a number of areas including:1) International finance and risk management from a career in currency derivative trading for the likes of Citibank, Credit Suisse and Royal Bank of Canada.2) Agriculture - I have a strong understanding of the challenges of producers and marketers in the primary industries from our investment in agriculture in New Zealand which including 12 years managing our farming business and exporting venison under our own brand of Totara Hills Venison. 3) Business management - management and governance positions in a number of SME's across a range of industriesSpecialties: Risk management, currency trading, strategy, supply chain design, macro economics
