I am working on AI development for our portable EEG device to automatically detect particular brain status, including sleep/awareness, mental illness, and brain diseases. It is very easy for patients to deal with our EEG device as well as it has high performance. My job is to decode EEG signals using machine learning techniques, it turns out that the information is readable and understandable for non-specialists in health-care industries. My research interest is to develop artificial intelligence technologies by taking advantage of the information about neural wiring diagrams (connectomes) of the mammalian brain. My focus is to create machine learning algorithms based on neurophysiological facts by reconstructing anatomical neuronal networks to emulate brain functions and behaviors. I am also developing a method to observe whole brain neuronal circuits in combination with x-ray and electron microscopy. My goal is to reconstruct a 3D mammalian brain with the highest isotropic resolution in a large scale image field. For connectomics, it is very important to link academic researchers with industrial communities in order to develop unconventional environments which can accelerate research. I would like to be engaged in creating a new framework in terms of both interdisciplinary basic sciences and instrumental industrial products for connectomics researchers.
