May 2016 marked my 20-year anniversary in a field that I’m passionate about. My work brings me in personal contact with people, organizations, and communities that are dedicated to positive change and helping others. What could be more rewarding!Over the years, as I facilitated many discussions, I have learned to listen deeply to my clients; they have asked me to provide meaningful data, objective feedback and reliable strategies to help them better achieve their mission. I try to do this in an environment of trust and openness.In the future, I will continue to be committed to underserved communities and to keep my services relevant to meet real needs and yield practical solutions. For ex: one of my latest focus areas is helping nonprofit boards and municipal government organizations navigate the process of executive performance reviews. I saw that nonprofit boards and City Councils struggle with having the capacity to provide their executives with meaningful feedback on their performance. Along with my colleague, Lisa Negstad of Negstad Consulting, we are providing a performance evaluation process and system that is streamlined, supported by data, and easy to use as staff changes.
