About

Strategic Corporate Management with a focus on balancing growth with diversification into new markets. Successfully formed and led international partnerships and program teams – optimizing profitable growth, technical performance, and entrepreneurial innovation. Multi-disciplinary advanced degrees and experience in water, energy, carbon, and climate-capital risk decision support. Co-Founder and CEO of two companies developing breakthroughs in clean energy: Partnering in Innovation, Inc. (Pi-Innovation) and New Wave Hydrogen, Inc. (NWH2). Partnering in Innovation, Inc.’s ‘Pi-CO2’ (aka AquaCCUS) has emerged as a fundamentally new approach to carbon capture that works with nature. Proven and well-vetted in collaboration with multi-national research agencies and industries, Pi-CO2 has always been significantly lower in total cost than current and emerging technologies, In a recent breakthrough, adding hydro-compression reduces parasitic energy demand and total costs even more, even with low CO2 concentration sources. Pi-CO2 uses no chemicals and no absorbents, the solvent (water) does not degrade, there are no hazardous wastes, the system is flexible, modular, and scalable. The well-to-wheels CO2 footprint is low, and it can be carbon negative when combined with biogas and/or renewable energy. Pi-CO2 represents a fundamentally new approach to carbon capture. New Wave Hydrogen, Inc. (NWH2)/AnewH2 brings a new energy paradigm to clean hydrogen via shock wave heating. The process is a novel application of a proven technology (wave rotors) and proven process (methane pyrolysis). The innovation uses no water, generates no direct CO2, uses existing infrastructure, and can move quickly to market. Shock wave heating reduces emissions significantly even using conventional electricity, is zero-emission with renewables, and can be carbon-negative with biogas. New Wave has the benefits of both conventional blue and green H2 production, but is not co-dependent on a parallel investment in regional new infrastructure, avoiding the concomitant high risks, costs, and time lags. The technology is uniquely scalable and is cost-competitive across the range from micro to large-scale H2 production. New Wave removes high-cost, high-risk, and time-lag roadblocks, thereby accelerating the H2 transition.
