Vital Start is a University of Pennsylvania’s Penn Center for Innovation (PCI) company focused on virtual medicine solutions for optimal mental health. The well-being of a mother positively impacts the development and psychological, social and emotional health of the child. Vital Start COURAGE is the first digital medicine for Perinatal Mood & Anxiety Disorders (PMADs) for mothers/parents from third trimester of pregnancy to first year postpartum. It is an evidence-based telehealth platform providing early intervention through personalized, immersive, assisted psychotherapy, face-to-face/remote to improve maternal bonding and reduce stress/anxiety, a proven risk for depression. Our strategic vision is to be -the- virtual medicine company for optimal mental health, beyond PMADs we plan to focus on mental health & well-being support for other acute and chronic areas to address the $200b market
