Kristen McIntire, MPH, BSN, RN

Prior to beginning my second degree studies at Northeastern, I accrued over 12 years of experience in clinical laboratory settings, most recently as a supervisor for the Northeastern University Life Science Testing Center where we performed COVID and influenza testing. I completed my MPH at Boston University in 2017 with a concentration in Social and Behavioral Sciences. Eventually, I will become a Family Nurse Practitioner in the next stage of Northeastern's direct entry master's program. My intended career is to serve my community as a public health nurse. I love that I will get to apply my skills as a public health professional and my passion for individual and community care all in one career. While I'm not in the healthcare world, I can be found running or cycling on the streets of Boston and beyond. I've completed 8 marathons and three triathlons, and especially love fundraising for charities while doing a race. I'm chasing the Abbott World Marathon Majors series' Six Star medal and I only have one race to go until I get there! I am currently serving as President of the Metropolitan Chorale, a 100-voice auditioned chorus with whom I have been singing for the past 9 years. Before my tenure as President began, I ran logistics for the group as the VP of Operations. I love to connect with others and network, so please feel free to send me an invite!
