Whether caring for patients or developing new technology, I aim to combine pragmatism and creativity to improve quality-of-life. Stepping away from medical practice to provide extended full-time care for a family member who sustained head trauma completely changed my life’s direction. To keep current in medicine, I attended a seminar by a world expert in venous thromboembolism. I was astonished at how little prevention and care had changed since I was a medical student and was convinced that I could solve this problem! Our team at TS medical created FitFoot, an exerciser designed to boost circulation. This user-friendly product can be used by a wide range of people, even those with little strength or mobility. FitFoot will be the first of many products that we hope will be particularly helpful to those with a sedentary lifestyle, heavy travel, obesity, peripheral vascular disease, or diabetes. It may even one day help patients recover from surgery or stay healthy during chemotherapy.
