After years of hands-on experience at Toyota (TSSC), I now help organizations, from Fortune 500 to minority companies, in the design and implementation of industrial and managerial solutions with documented savings exceeding two billion dollars. I bring hands-on experience with TPS/lean enterprising and have developed hundreds of leaders around the world. I enjoy working with everyone from executives to shop floor operators to deliver higher quality products and services at a lower cost and with a shorter supply lead time based on the Toyota Production System and:• Resolve operational contradictions between profitability and cash flow.• Harmonizes the creative nature of individuals with the monotonous requirements of industrial tasks.• Reconciles economic growth and environmental stewardship.Toyota Motor Corp.'s contribution to human progress goes beyond making reliable, gas-efficient cars. It reconciles financial, managerial, and socio-economic contradictions worth applying to the broader aspect of our society. By 1938, amid the mass production system boom, Toyota launches its Just-in-time system. It is decades ahead of the need to create a production system better adapted to an economy of variety than to an economy of scale. We could just call it “Toyota’s luck” that TPS is a better production system for today’s extensive product diversification and labor-relation transparency. Well, luck would have it again that eliminating waste through technical and managerial innovations, Toyota's focus also brings about a third innovation to the field of industrial operation management. The method offers robust solutions to resolving the conflict between the dependency on economic growth to make a profit and sensible environmental stewardship.

New United Motor Manufacturing, Inc. (NUMMI) was the pioneering joint venture of General Motors Corporation and Toyota Motor Corporation. Established in Fremont, California, in 1984 and closed in 2010. Company Mission Statement: “Through teamwork, safely build the highest quality vehicles at the lowest possible cost to benefit our customers, team members, community and shareholders.” The company's core values are based on five cornerstones: teamwork, equity, involvement, mutual trust and respect, and safety. NUMMI helped change the automobile industry by introducing the Toyota Production System and a teamwork oriented environment to the United States. NUMMI grew to become a company of 5,000 team members who produced five award-winning vehicles: Toyota Hilux, Geo Prizm, Toyota Corolla, Toyota Tacoma, and Pontiac Vibe. Throughout its history, NUMMI worked hard to create a unique corporate culture that incorporated values from Toyota, General Motors, and the nearby Silicon Valley environment. NUMMI's collaborative partnership with the United Auto Workers has been the topic of numerous labor relations studies. After General Motors bankruptcy and decision to end the joint venture, then Toyota’s announcement that it would discontinue its contract, NUMMI ceased production in April 2010. Tesla purchased the NUMMI factory and property in 2010 and now produces its vehicles onsite.
