In 2019 Orbell joined Marcus & Millichap with his partner Ara Rostamian to start their retail focused team, advising clients in the strategic acquisition, disposition and re-positioning of retail real estate properties throughout Los Angeles, Southern California, and Major MSA’s throughout the U.S. Throughout his successful 17-year career, Orbell has exclusively listed and sold over $750 million of real estate transactions a testament of his command in business development, financial analysis and underwriting. Working with some of the world’s most visible companies, retail centers, and shopping destinations (housing such brands as Hugo Boss and Banana Republic), Orbell offers invaluable insight on current market rates and trends, to his national and international clients alike. His expertise extends into complex transactions involving mixed-use properties, portfolio analysis, entitled land as well as large shopping center dispositions throughout Southern California.Prior to joining Marcus & Millichap, Orbell was First Vice President at CBRE in Los Angeles for 3 years andbefore CBRE as the Executive Vice President of BRC Advisors, Inc. for 8 years. His real estate career began with Marcus & Millichap in 2003, where he was an Investment Associate for 5 years, and quickly progressed into Senior Associate at BRC. Orbell’s graduate studies from his alma mater, California State University Northridge, span within Business Management Information Systems, with an emphasis in Real Estate. He remains a leader within his community and an active member of various professional organizations, including the International Council of Shopping Centers.
