Sarah Weinberger

I began working for King Manufacturing part-time as a CAD Technician while I was attending college full-time, following calculations to draw steel canopies primarily for gas stations. A year later when I finished my Civil Engineering degree, I was offered a full-time position as a Structural Technician. In addition to staying current on drafting, I was taught to detail projects for shop fabrication, assist customers and installers, and quote new projects. During the next few years, I was able to expand my horizon and took an interest in learning more about how the business is run. Soon I found myself taking Business-to-Business Marketing classes at night and immediately incorporating what I learned in some projects of my own, namely the complete redesign of our website. For a short time, I left to work for a different company designing automatic fire sprinkler systems for commercial buildings to try something new at a large company I'd admired since college. It didn't take long for me to realize that my passion was for my former work in the petroleum industry, and I was invited back on several occasions by my boss. Eventually I decided that it was a better fit for me and took him up on the offer, resuming my old position with a fresh outlook and many new project ideas, which I'm still trying to find time for the last few. Soon after, I found success in some of my writing for promotional materials, with the text of the website, an article for a trade magazine, press releases, and more. Recently, I was promoted to Vice President of Production, which is an incredibly huge honor. My goal is to never stop learning and to stay true to this company's unique values. I truly enjoy using my skills to help run King Manufacturing and it's division Steel King Construction, and I appreciate the opportunities I've been given to make a difference.
