Victor Jose Santana

I hold a Masters in Arts specializing in Restorative Justice through Youth Leadership Development and Trauma Awareness. My academic longterm goals are to enter a doctoral program to further my research on restorative justice, racial equity, healing and the neurology of trauma. Currently, I am working with Boston Public Schools on a restorative justice and racial equity project. The responsibilities for the initiative include training, facilitation, data evaluation and policy recommendations. As Chief Program Officer at Trinity Boston Connects/Trinity Boston Foundation where I over see a portfolio of five programs centered on healing the traumatic impact systemic racism among young people, those who serve them and institutions that impact their lives. During my time at the commission I developed, implemented and facilitated training institutes for youth workers, clinicians, doctors and other health professionals on racial justice, trauma awareness and resilience for the Boston Public Health Commission. My work requires excellent communication skills, cross cultural understanding and the ability to collaborate and be the liaison with internal programs and external community partners. Program development, training, setting goals for staff members, and then overseeing every aspect of implementation is something I enjoy and am good at. I am diplomatic, analytical and always open for new challenges.VJS Consulting provides training and support to organizations, individuals, and community groups across the United States and parts of the Dominican Republic for 15 years.
