Xiaopeng He

I'm co-founder of UCWeb Inc., the Chinese mobile Internet software and service provider that was acquired by e-commerce giant Alibaba Group in June 2014 in China's largest ever internet M&A deal at that time.I was born in Huangshi, Hubei, and gained a bachelor's degree in Computer Science at Guangzhou's South China University of Technology. After working at Asiainfo Technologies, I co-founded UCWeb with Liang Jie in 2004, and rolled out UCWeb’s flagship product, the UC Browser, which attracted over 500 million users the world over and achieved market leader position in both China (over 65%) and India (over 32%). After the acquisition, I was named president of UCWeb and president of the Alibaba Mobile Business Group.In 2014, I supported Henry Xia and He Tao in founding Xpeng Motors, an electric autonomous vehicle company. I resigned from Alibaba Group to become full-time Chairman of Xpeng in August 2017. Our P7 intelligent electric sports sedan model has come to market in the spring of 2020.
