Passion is finding something not that your good at, but that you love. You don't always find it, sometimes it finds you. Hospitality was always easy for me, but 12 years ago I realized my passion was hotels. I believe hotels should be not just a place people stay in, they should be immersive environments that compliment the experience a person is looking for. I have enjoyed the companies and hotels that I have worked with and managed over the last 12 years, as they all guided me in some way to who I am now as a professional and a person. I strive for creativity and forward thinking, as I believe that hotels need to really evaluate and reach to achieve not what can be now, but what will be in the future. We as an industry have been slow to adopt new techniques and technology, and that needs to change. We have the ability to offer our guests and ourselves far more than what we have only now, started to comprehend. I believe sustainability in all things, from building envelope, to operations is our greatest next step. Through the adoption of these practices, we can find a higher return on investment from making a positive impact on the ecosystems that support our revenues, than not.
