I’m currently a social media manager for JGO Media, where I not only schedule posts but produce ideas on what to film for the platform. For the SuperSisters project I have hosted and organised successful events most recently being, ‘Not in my DM’s’, a event based around tech abuse and the 16 days of activism against gender based violence. Other events include a multi-faith event celebrating the diversity of religion within London. More recently I have played a key role in establishing a political podcast platform for the youth which gained over 1,000 followers in just over a month. This project has helped me develop my skills in media further whilst also tying in my passion for politics. After having gained over a years experience in social media management I have recently begun social media training. This involves seminars on how to unleash the potential of your social media pages to better promote the brand. I manage these roles all whilst doing a bachelor’s degree in Politics and International Relations. Politics is my passion, and in the run up to the 2019 General Election I started a YouTube series vlogging each campaign trail I attended. Not only this, during the election period I helped to manage the social media accounts of a parliamentary candidate in London, now a Member of Parliament. This experience gave me an insight into what it is like running for a seat in Parliament, and how to run a successful campaign. Knowledge which I gained from this, I hope to take further with me in my career....See More
