One advice I grew up listening to was – whatever you do, do it with passion and a whole heart! That is what stuck with me all these years during the different phases of my life; whether it was my college education, my first part time job, my first corporate role or my current position. Let me walk you through each of these experiences! Starting with my current role at Richard Marc Inc., a start-up in the beauty education industry and my family owned business, I connect with people every day to coordinate different functions and carry out administrative tasks to help put the company on the map. This role has helped me widen my area of expertise. My first corporate role: Being a part of one of the Best Professional Recruiting Firms - Robert Half, I had the opportunity to develop my administrative skills such as running reports, drafting and posting job descriptions and acting as a point of contact to 8 Recruiting Managers. I maintained and updated information in the HRIS database, completed month-end procedures and compliance. Additionally, I polished communication, networking, initiative-taking and other soft skills. My first part time role: Through my experience working at Swarovski, I gained experience in customer relations management, training and development, as well as building successful sales strategies. At Swarovski, I enjoyed being part of a passionate and knowledgeable team. I always brought my positive energy to work while exceeding my sales targets. Therefore, I was quickly promoted to a Senior Sales Consultant role where I was responsible for not only meeting my own goals, but also my team’s. My college experience: While studying the Business Administration – Leadership and Management program at Centennial College, I was also the only student member and Secretary of the Program Advisory Committee (PAC). Upon graduation, I was promoted to a voting member of the PAC. During the course of my studies, I was a holder of ‘Sherene Shaw Business Scholarship’ for which I was nominated by a professor for demonstrating academic excellence. I had the opportunity to visit Italy as a part of the Sumer International Program (SIP) organized by Centennial College in 2018. Being one of the 12 students to be selected by college, I developed cross-cultural, leadership and problem-solving skills. I look forward to connecting with you and learning about your journey!
