I currently support a team of ML engineers and research scientists focusing on equality fairness in ads delivery. The team contributes to Meta's broader initiative of building a fair and responsible ads experience. Earlier, I supported the Core ML organization at Robinhood, including their ML platform and Applied ML teams. The ML platform team was responsible for the overall infrastructure for data analytics and model development work, online feature and model serving, and automation of ML pipelines. The Applied ML team was responsible for a suite of ML services and frameworks that supported business-critical projects. Core ML supported AI/ML initiatives in key business areas like fraud detection, growth, security, and customer understanding. I helped the organization grow from 8 to 20+ engineers. Before that, I led a team of 15+ data scientists and ML engineers at Walmart Labs. The team developed ML-powered solutions for content enrichment in the e-commerce domain. They shipped models and platforms for multiple business stakeholders including trust and safety, fashion and home. They specialized in large-scale image and text classification, object detection, rare event detection, product-to-product similarity, rapid inference of deep learning models on large datasets, and data quality assessment. My PhD research involved exploratory visual analysis of large-scale data from various scientific domains.
