Adam Jagelewski

The capital demands of social and environmental challenges outstrip the capabilities of traditional philanthropy, grants and contributions. Innovative market-based approaches, through entrepreneurship and multi-sector collaboration are needed to complement traditional forms of financial aid. Bio: Adam is Managing Partner at TwinRiver Capital. In this role, Adam works with investors and advisors to bring positive social and environmental impact into investment and philanthropic portfolios. Adam has over a decade of experience in impact investing. He co-founded the MaRS Centre for Impact Investing and was the Executive Lead, advising private investors and the public sector on impact strategies and investment models. He also hosted Canada’s annual Social Finance Forum, one of the most prominent conferences in the field globally. Prior to MaRS he was a management consultant with PriceWaterhouseCoopers. Adam represents Canada on the Global Steering Group for Impact Investing – a 30+ country leadership table, is a frequent speaker at universities, boards and networks and is active on several advisory boards of social impact ventures. In his spare time Adam enjoys magic and golf. He’s trying to figure out how to combine the two.
