Adrian David LI Man-kiu is the Co-Chief Executive at The Bank of East Asia.Mr. Li, aged 48, was appointed an Executive Director in 2014. He first joined the Bank in 2000 as General Manager &a; Head of Corporate Banking Division. He was appointed Deputy Chief Executive in April 2009 and Co-Chief Executive in July 2019, and is responsible for overall management and control of the Bank Group with a particular focus on its Hong Kong business. He serves on the boards of several Bank Group members as Chairman or Member. Mr. Li is currently an Independent Non-executive Director of two listed companies under the Sino Group (Sino Land Company Limited (listed in Hong Kong) and Tsim Sha Tsui Properties Limited (listed in Hong Kong)), China State Construction International Holdings Limited (listed in Hong Kong) and COSCO SHIPPING Ports Limited (listed in Hong Kong). He previously served as a Non-executive Director of The Berkeley Group Holdings plc (listed in London). Mr. Li is a Member of the Anhui Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and a Counsellor of the Hong Kong United Youth Association. He is Chairman of The Chinese Banks’ Association, Vice President of The Hong Kong Institute of Bankers’ Council and a Member of the MPF Industry Schemes Committee of the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority. He is a Board Member of The Community Chest of Hong Kong and serves on its Executive Committee, a Member of the Advisory Board of The Salvation Army, Hong Kong and Macau Command, and a Trustee of The University of Hong Kong’s occupational retirement schemes. Furthermore, he serves as a Member of the Election Committees responsible for electing the Chief Executive and Legislative Council Members of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (“HKSAR”) as well as deputies of the HKSAR to the 13th National People’s Congress. Mr. Li holds a Master of Management Degree from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University in the US, and a Master of Arts Degree and Bachelor of Arts Degree in Law from the University of Cambridge in Britain. He is a Member of The Law Society of England and Wales, and The Law Society of Hong Kong. He is also a Member of the Hong Kong Academy of Finance and has been conferred as an Honorary Certified Banker by The Hong Kong Institute of Bankers. Mr. Li is the son of Dr. the Hon. Sir David LI Kwok-po, the nephew of Professor Arthur LI Kwok-cheung, Mr. Aubrey LI Kwok-sing and Mr. Stephen Charles LI Kwok-sze, and the brother of Mr. Brian David LI Man-bun.
