About

Hey There! I'm Ailis Garcia. (pronounced “eye-lease”) You'll find me with coffee in one hand and a fresh-off-the-press published research study in the other. My mission is to help organizations create a culture of well-being and belonging. I wake up excited everyday to help others grow and be the best version of themselves! So, you're in the right place! For the past 6 years, I've traveled the country leading Strong Girl Workshops + Workouts for over 7,000 sorority women on over 35 campuses. I studied the Science of Well-Being under the leading researchers in the field and earned my Master of Applied Positive Psychology Degree from the University of Pennsylvania (the top applied positive psychology program in the world!). Most recently, I developed the first-of-its-kind research-based well-being and resilience curriculum, StrongU™, for national sorority organizations to offer to their members, for colleges and universities to offer to their students and for businesses and corporations to offer to their employees. I created The Strong Movement® (out of my dorm room as an undergrad at USC!) to inspire women to build strong bodies and strong minds through healthy living and personal growth. Over the years, The Strong Movement has evolved into a consultancy where we offer trainings, workshops, keynotes, custom science-based programs and assessments to help people thrive. Our clients include colleges and universities, national sorority organizations and associations and businesses. I have experience as the host for the Los Angeles Dodgers, hosting a live show and interviewing celebrities and fans during sold-out baseball games. I write regularly on positive psychology and mental and physical health. I'm proud of my Cuban heritage and enjoy catching up with family and friends over a cup of coffee, or “un cafecito.” When I'm not helping others improve their own resilience and well-being, I'm practicing self-care by reading and hiking and enjoying yoga and dolce far niente.
