I have * 12 years experience in international education, delivering the foundation year program for the University of Queensland. * 38 years teaching mathematics and social sciences in schools across Queensland * 6 years experience in managing LMS management using Moodle I have demonstrated skills in large project management and staff training. For six years I managed the LMS for a large private college catering to 1200 international students. I was responsible for course creation, management, providing a help desk to staff and students and all teacher training. Two notable achievements in that time were: Initiating and managing a college wide upgrade of all the LMS technology. During this time I worked with external consultants and the University of Queensland to completely overhaul all of our online systems. I was then responsible for training all staff in the effective use of the LMS. In early 2021 when COVID hit the international education industry on Australia, the college was faced with a crisis. All our systems were based around a face-to-face course delivery. Almost overnight we had to transform our systems to cope with remote learning as our students evacuated Australia. I was responsible for managing the process of change, under great pressure, to ensure that the students were able to continue their studies. The college rebuilt our LMS successfully over a very short time period. I managed this process and ensured that it worked.
