Alan Wight

Thinking differently is my passion. I'm an Event Producer and Experience Designer helping organisations with the preparation, delivery and measurement of their Communications, events and places. I work with my own team at Cascade Productions and on a consultative basis for companies, organisations and agencies, specialising in internal communications and experience design. I am the former chair of a Community Council in Wales, developing strategies to protect and enhance social-cohesion and wellbeing in a Welsh borderlands community. I have a particular interest in how people experience places and how to engage individuals. I have been involved in knowledge sharing at educational seminars at UK universities and at industry events in Barcelona and Copenhagen. I now have a Masters in Internal Communication Management, through which I have extended my theoretical knowledge of research, psychology, neuroscience, and media theory, to add to 30 years of practice. Over the years Cascade has devoted our time to create video and events for numerous charities. In recent years we have donated £1 for every delegate we have managed each year – in 2018 we supported the homeless and from 2019 we are funding the planting of 10 trees for every delegate we manage we the aim of planting half a million trees by 2022. Everything I do revolves around thinking differently. Whether that is finding and making use of different venues and spaces, creating magical themes or lighting, writing compelling video scripts or working out the most effective way to address particularly complex organisation problems.
