Alessandra G.

Hailing from the Philippines, I am a senior at Fordham University, where I am majoring in Sociology, with a minor in Marketing. I am passionate about both subjects, especially understanding the intersectionality between the two. During the Fall of 2020, I took a leave of absence to work at a Pre-Series A tech start-up called Workbean and I have loved (and thrived) in start-up culture. I love the ways in which start-ups operate, making me use my sociological (and multicultural) perspectives to help solve problems about the world around me with regard to their specific business. At Fordham, I currently serve as the Filipino student club’s PR director, managing both internal and external events for the club. I am incredibly honored to be the next elected club president. These team and leadership skills have taught me a lot of important skills that are easily transferrable to the workforce. I am excited to see where this takes me!
