I am the founder and CEO of Wealth Club. Wealth Club is the UK's leading alternative investment service for high net worth investors. As well as being the biggest broker of Venture Capital Trusts we offer our clients a range of single company EIS investments, EIS funds, private equity and IHT portfolios. We launched in 2016. Today we have over 55,000 members who receive deals from us each week. Of those more than 10,500 are now clients having invested more than £1.1 billion through our platform. (Last updated March 2023) Prior to Wealth Club my only job was at Hargreaves Lansdown which is now a FTSE 100 company. I joined aged 22 and initially my principle job was stuffing envelopes. By age 30 I was one of the main directors and a shareholder in the business. I retired at 38 and began investing in start up businesses directly using generous EIS tax reliefs and through Venture Capital Trusts. Whilst there were some great investment opportunities available there were also plenty of awful ones and there wasn't anywhere to go to sort out the good from the bad. Applying was also difficult with most opportunities still completely paper based. With this in mind I created Wealth Club, an online service which gives high net worth and sophisticated investors access to great deals (many of which aren't available elsewhere) along with excellent information and the ability to invest and monitor them online at their leisure.
