My official title is social media and public relations specialist, but really, I am much more versatile than my title divulges! While the main portion of my day is spent consulting and assisting a very diverse array of clients manage their social media platforms, I am also heavily involved in the measurement aspect of these platforms as well. According to SocialTimes, 43% of businesses are using social media to gain business; however, surprisingly, most of these businesses are most likely not measuring the results of their social media efforts. My job is to help companies measure and analyze their data so we can help develop a strategy for their social media plan based on the information and trends of their data. When I am not analyzing data, I am involved in other digital marketing projects as a brand journalist and content marketer. I enjoy writing blog posts which help other companies understand the value of social media through personal examples, how-to posts, case studies and other helpful sites. I also create fabulous videos (see below videos) which add a professional visual element to a website while helping to increase search engine rankings.
