I focus my practice on preparation and prosecution of patent applications in a wide range of technologies, but with a particular focus in the fields of biotechnology, agricultural biotechnology, and related arts.In particular, I have prepared and prosecuted patent applications relating to pharmaceutical compounds and formulations, including antibacterial agents, vaccines, and therapeutics; diagnostic and other screening assays; novel proteins and nucleic acids; synthetic compounds; microfluidic devices; bacterial plant pathogens; plant propagation techniques; combinatorial chemistry; nanotechnology; and contrast agents.I have experience in post-issuance patent proceedings, including inter partes review, reexaminations, reissue proceedings, patent litigation, and inventorship dispute resolution. My practice also includes conducting patentability, infringement, and invalidity studies.
