Amber Bellegarde

I am a nêhiyaw/Nakota woman a part of the Little Black Bear First Nation in Treaty 4 territory. Currently, I reside in Saskatoon, Treaty 6 territory and am happy to call this community another one of my homes. I am passionate about my spiritual and professional growth and development and aspire to be my most authentic self in everything I do. My education and experience in the public and non-profit sectors has allowed me to hone my skills in research and analysis, communications, and project management. While relatively new to the human resources field, it has been a natural fit within my life as I love helping others realize their potential for success. I take pride in my nêhiyaw and Nakota cultures and ensure that Indigenous Traditional Knowledge (ITK) and perspectives are reflected in the work I do. I also take immense joy in finding creative and holistic approaches that are mutually beneficial for both individuals and organizations. My current position as a Health & Wellness Coordinator at SIGA has empowered me to utilize the ITK I was fortunate to be raised with as the foundation for the work I get to develop and implement for employees.
