I am a nurse practitioner who has devoted the past two decades of my career to equipping nurse practitioners with the knowledge and skills they need to pass national certification exams, maintain certification and stay up-to-date with essential clinical skills. I believe in educating current and future NPs using tools and strategies that make complex material relatable and therefore understandable. I believe in empowering them with real-life examples that will positively shape their approach to patient care. And I believe in being available to them for questions and counsel as they navigate certification, recertification and day-to-day practice.Advanced Practice Education Associates (APEA), the education company I cofounded, puts these beliefs into practice every day. Through programming presented by myself and expert faculty members, APEA provides 25 or more live certification review courses each year, plus pharmacology and clinical skills programming for practicing NPs. We offer always-accessible learning and study support in the form of textbooks, question-and-answer books, practice tests, audio and video presentations, flashcards, and more.
