Amirah Trayinh Dent

I am working towards a career as a University Lecturer, ideally teaching English as A Second Language. I have some experience in teaching adults which I gained from a CELTA course in 2013. I also have some experience in teaching English language skills to overseas students at HELP University in Kuala Lumpur. I volunteered to teach in the field of Education for 4 years in a non-profit, non-government organization at a university in Manila, primarily with university and high school students but also with farmers and local villagers outside the city. English is my mother tongue but, I am also fluent in Tagalog (the language of the Philippines) which has strong Spanish influences and I am keen to enhance my linguistic ability by learning French, Spanish and Italian in the future.
