About
I studied biomedical engineering, focused on image & signal processing. After working as a research data scientist, developing automated systems to identify patients at risk of developing an ophthalmological pathology, I decided to develop my data science skills further, and did my Ph.D. In the application of machine learning techniques in proteomics and metabolomics mass spectrometry data at the VIB/Ghent University. At this point I decided to switch gears and joined Crunch Analytics, where I worked as a data scientist consultant in the retail sector. In 2020 I moved on to a position as a data scientist at Farfetch's experimentation team, and later joined the recommendations & personalisation team. Currently I'm working at Storytel, in the machine learning team, focusing on recommendations.
