Andrea Fuchs

I studied biomedicine/ human biology in Germany, have a PhD in neurophysiology and worked within academic research both in Germany and Sweden on PostDoc positions. There, I focussed on neurodegenerative diseases and spinal cord injury but have a broad theoretical clinical background. From April 2015, I joined a big CRO and worked as Clinical Trial Administrator (CTA) for one year. There, I learned all the basics of clinical studies and supported up to 30 studies of different sponsors in various therapeutic fields. In April 2016 I switched to a CRA I position for the same CRO and got promoted in April 2017 to CRA II and in April 2018 to senior CRA. I am/was monitoring pain, OA, IIM, fertility, lymphoma, hyperlipidemia and diabetes I and II studies with different sponsors on traditional and risk based monitoring strategies. My responsibilities are site selection, initiation and training, site management, SDV, SDR, documentation and close out. In October 2018 I joined Link Medical as Senior CRA. During my carrier I developed an accurate, detail oriented, structured and highly effective way of working. I always worked successfully on several projects in parallel and have no problem with time pressure. I am self-driven, work independent, have experiences as project leader and did a lot of teaching both in university courses for medical students and with supervising junior colleagues. I am used to communicate precisely during oral presentations and on congress-posters. Writing scientific publications, grant applications and project descriptions was my daily business. I can communicate without problems in German, English and Swedish. I am familiar with all the standard computer programs like the Office package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop and many clinical research specific programs.
