Andrea Melandri

I'm a program manager with 17 years of experience in the Investment Banking, Retail and Digital Industries focusing on large-scale change programs. I worked from Spain, Italy, UK and the United States and managed delivery teams and C-level stakeholders across the globe. The cultural diversity I have been exposed to in my different roles and workplaces has been the key driver for my personal and professional growth. Currently I'm the Data Manager Lead and Surveillance Portfolio Manager at Barclays responsible for 10+ programs and 200+ deliverables. I support my stakeholders defining the strategy, I work with my delivery leads to translate it into a plan and oversee the end-to-end execution. Our deliverables are built on Machine Learning, Big Data, Network Analytics and other up to date technologies. My main focus is on the implementation of solutions to (1) detect Insider Dealing / Market Abuse and (2) ensure the 80+ data feeds we consume are complete, accurate and timely received. I have a degree in Business Administration, I'm an Agile Scrum certified (SCM) and I'm currently a student of data science at Harvard Business School (eDX). After graduation I was awarded with two ‘Leonardo Programme’ scholarships (a European Community initiative) which allowed me to study and work in Spain and UK. I speak Italian as my mother tongue, I'm fluent in English and intermediate in Spanish.
