Andrew Carmichael

Andrew trained as a fine artist in the late 70's in London attending 6 art schools in total and then worked as an artist for ten years, showing in London, Madrid and Vienna amongst other places.He then inadvertently founded an arts charity the odd festival or two as well as being asked to work as a consultant on similar projects for others.He was then recruited in 2000 to run the newly formed Creative Lewisham Agency and over twelve years has turned that from a small department of the local council into an independent 'not for profit' company which was initially the leader of the first Creative Hub in London and latterly has transformed into an apprenticeship training company (Creative Process) that turns over in excess of half a million pounds a year and works with companies such as C4, Thomson Reuters and the Ogilvy group.He still interested in all things new, creative and innovative and currently particularly the opportunities for education afforded by the accelerating internet revolution - maybe the development of the noosphere - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noosphere - is nearer than we think?
