Angela Evans

Angela Evans founded DDDinc, an umbrella company for Double Diamond Marketing + Communications, in May 1997 when she was 25, but don’t let her age fool you. This passionate, young-at-heart entrepreneur continues to lead by example in all facets of Double Diamond's diverse channel expertise. Armed with a B.A. In Journalism from Penn State University, she began her career in Chicago at The Times newspaper where she planned and designed layout of the daily sports section and other special sections. She also served as a contributing feature writer and copy editor. In the mid 1990s, Evans parlayed her journalistic experience into television, becoming a senior producer of weekly segments for the award-winning and highly acclaimed Today Show on NBC. In this role, Angela worked closely with national public relations firms and executives who pitched products/ideas for inclusion on the show. In conjunction with Today Show, she further distinguished herself by researching, writing, and editing weekly columns for the N.Y. Times Syndicate, monthly features for USA Today, and daily stories for MSNBC. In her position, she supervised a full staff, coordinated public relations efforts, and managed product inventory on a daily basis. It’s no wonder that Angela has been named one of The Tennessean’s “Top 40 Under 40”, and has been highlighted as a featured entrepreneur in multiple local, regional and national publications. Today, as the Founder and President of Double Diamond, she is responsible for client acquisition, servicing and retention, strategic marketing and consulting, technology immersion, activations and problem solving. The agency boasts an extremely diverse roster of international, national, regional, and local clients. Angela's mantra is "I just want to know what I'm dealing with," a doctrine that applies to every facet of her life. A natural risk taker with a deliberate plan for execution, Angela operates in reality. She thrives on learning, listening, adjusting, and driving it home. She doesn't show up to the party, she throws it. She is relentlessly bold, optimistic, and passionate. She is unapologetically inquisitive and unabashedly honest. Angela is committed to the give-give value of mentorship, especially with youth and young adults who are considering entrepreneurship as a potential career path. Angela is especially active in community and charitable events, and serves on several non-profit boards, including the advisory board for Big Brothers Big Sisters.
