Ik ben inmiddels meer dan 20 jaar werkzaam in de co-assurantie binnen de Nederlandse, Belgische, Duitse, Engelse en Franse markt. Voorheen was dit multi-branche aan de acceptatie alsmede de claims kant. Momenteel beoefen ik reeds 9 jaar de functie van claimshandler marine hull. Hier behandel ik zelfstandig claims in de producten casco (m.n.. Visserij en binnenvaart) als ook voor P&I en Charter’s Liability. In mijn functie beoordeel ik dossiers met expertiserapporten, polissen, overige condities, voorwaarden en overeenkomsten, waar ook vaak een juridisch aspect aan de orde komt (civiel als ook strafrecht). Voorts onderhoud ik de contacten met experts, verzekeraars, sub-agenten, verzekerden, advocaten, reparateurs en tegenpartijen en zorg daar voor vlotte en duidelijke communicatie stromingen. Qua zakelijk functioneren zou ik mezelf voornamelijk omschrijven als ontzettend service gericht (will to please), met een goed tactisch vermogen en prettige communicatieve vaardigheden.
