Retired now, volunteering with various non-profits. I am at Health and Human Services, CMS, now working on Production Support for HITECH, part of the ARRA. I was detailed to Obamacare for a year and learned a lot. Previously I worked in the Affordable Care Organizations (ACO) area, which is another part of the Affordable Care Act legislation. ACO is a web-based application which tracks treatment costs for participating ACOs and rewards high quality care provided at affordable cost. Before that I was GTL for development of HITECH. I have worked mostly in project management roles, but I also enjoy technical jobs, and learning new technologies. While I love digging into the technical details, I am willing to delegate that work to specialists, and use their input for planning. My forte has always been the details, which has been very useful in my testing roles. It's also come in handy in creating implementation and project plans. I have good customer facing skills, and have done a lot of work in international, remote, and matrixed companies. I learn quickly and adapt well to different environments. Planning, opening and running my shop has been my longest term project so far. Before that, I was a project manager and analyst, working on pretty much anything, both infrastructure and software. I have a high regard for process and quality, and I am detail oriented and thorough. Currently I am working in Insurance and Health Care, but most of my experience has been in financial applications, telephony and billing, My infrastructure experience has mainly been in LAN servers, workstations, and cabling and provisioning. I am rapidly gaining experience in web-based applications, having worked with web-based projects for the last several years. Specialties: Analysis, planning, project management, and testing, Mainframe, Client/Server and Web interface environments.
