Shortly before graduating from college I started working as a correctional officer. I spent the next 8 years working in corrections, different skills include transportation officer, corrections corporal, and court room security officer. After 8 years of corrections I decided to give 911/police dispatching a try. I worked as a dispatcher for 5 years. Skills included, answering multi-line phone, working with multiple agencies such as fire and rescue, police, deputies and state patrol. I also worked in the police service department, entering warrants, stolen cars, missing persons, and runaways. I have been a freight broker for the last 2 and a half years and discovered the skills I acquired in corrections and dispatching have been very useful in this industry as well. I work in sales and deal with a wide range of people on a daily basis. I continue to enhance my skills daily with the help of my co-workers and the owner of the company.
