In my role at Insideup, a San Diego based demand generation agency, I especially love that I've been able to use my written communication skills to craft marketing content in virtually every form, from email sequences to video scripts to training materials for our solution consultants. I began my career as a freelance copywriter and editor (I've written articles for ThinkNow Research, Business.com, Business2Community, AdAge, Livestrong, and the business section of The Houston Chronicle's website). Eventually I came to specialize in B2B content, writing white papers and guides for SaaS technology companies. I'm now able to use that that in-depth knowledge to help meet the marketing needs of InsideUp clients. At InsideUp, I get to immerse myself in every aspect of marketing. In my current role as marketing director, I work directly with our sales leaders and have seen first-hand the results that sales and marketing alignment can bring. I highly recommend it! I also love being able to work remotely (with my tuxedo cat, Benni, usually at my side). Living in Oregon's wine country, there are several wineries within 5 minutes of me, so I can often be found wine tasting on my time off. Or kayaking, hiking, reading (Jane Austen is a favorite), or streaming my favorite sci-fi series.
