By working for a large financial institute I have gained great insight on the multidisciplinary sectors that must be considered when shaping any design, including business and stakeholder needs, legal compliances, budgets and resources. Learning this has leveraged my creative problem- solving skills, which is continuously enhancing my skills as a rounded designer. My experience has been shaped by many focus areas including human- centric design, products design, user testing, customer testing and design systems. By adhering to an agile workflow I have also learnt the value of collaboration and self-organisation across cross-functional teams. One of the challenges that I have learnt to overcome by combining these growing skill-sets, is ensuring design and interaction consistency across multiple large platforms such as the Absa website, Connected Banking and Digital Sales Platform, as well as the Absa Banking App.
