Austin McCasland

Designing and shipping new products is my specialty, especially in emerging tech. I have extensive product design experience and have worked with many companies to help them better define their product vision, and then bring those visions to life as production quality user experiences. I have strong engineering skills, and that understanding allows me to push boundaries of what is possible from both a product and design perspective. My technical underpinnings also allow me be an extremely tactical designer in terms of day-to-day product development. I balance speed against UX tools to ensure that deadlines are hit while maintaining a great user experience. I solo designed, developed, and released an award winning launch day ARKit app (Paint Space AR), named one of the best apps of 2017 (Technology and Innovation) by Apple. My undergraduate background is in interactive sculptural new media, and I have a Masters degree in Human-Computer Interaction from Carnegie Mellon University.
