My years here on Earth: A case study of my career. Chapter I: Introduction I am an energetic person, flexible in adapting to different work situations, multilingual and have excellent communication skills. I am able to work independently or as part of a team, with a strong sense of leadership. I view challenges in my workplace as a way to keep me motivated and are essential to continue to drive my development. Chapter II: Education I’ve always been fascinated by the Human body, its anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics. I completed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and a Paramedical diploma. I then pursued Chinese medicine for a holistic understanding of our bodies and lifestyles. I developed an interest in individuals’ and community’s well-being, the social determinants of health, and the impact of the living-environment on humans' health. It was then that I decided to complete a Master of Public Health (Research) here in Sydney. Chapter III: My research interest I believe that individual’s decisions are largely affected by living environments, ethnicities, and cultural backgrounds. I am interested in health promotion initiatives that enhance health outcomes while sustaining the environment. I am also intrigued by the role that technological progress plays in improving the human body’s performance and reducing risks encountered with daily life stress and ageing. Chapter IV: Conclusion After several years of clinical experience in healthcare, rehabilitation, preventive interventions, and chronic diseases, I developed an interest in health promotion. I currently work on a project that aims to increase accessibility to physical activity for people living with disabilities.
