Barbara Goldman

Barbara Goldman, the founder of BG Search Associates holds degrees in both mathematics and physics and was a physics instructor at Temple University and a physicist with the Naval Weapons Laboratory in Dahlgren, Virginia. Prior to her career in legal recruiting, she owned a market research firm in New York City and recruited and moderated focus groups for large consumer products companies. In 1984, Barbara moved to Atlanta and opened the Atlanta office of Comsearch, an executive search firm specializing in the telecommunications industry. In 1994, Barbara began to specialize in Legal recruiting and launched BG Search Associates, a legal recruiting and consulting company in 2000. In 2005, she opened an office in New York City. Barbara is a recognized expert in successful practice group and law firm mergers as well as all levels of corporate attorney recruiting from staff attorneys to General Counsel Placements. Her clients are large law firms and multinational corporations of all sizes. She has been successful placing attorneys throughout Asia, Europe and South America. She has been successful in developing a very talented team of 9 legal recruiters including four former partners at top law firms and has grown the company by at least 20% each year. She has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Georgia Women’s Business Counsel since 2004 where she serves on the Executive Committee and co-chairs the Board Development Committee. She also serves on the Governing Board of the Women's Enterprise National Council Form and is passionate about the mission of WBENC. She is also a member of NALSC (National Association of Legal Search Consultants). Barbara is the winner of the 2007 Georgia Women’s Business Council Advocate of the Year Award.
