I am obsessed with natural light and technique. Time stopped for me 12 years ago on a family vacation while I was photographing my daughter walking on a beach. Experimenting with a new camera I accidentally snapped and brought my daughter into sharp focus and blurred the ocean behind. The results were stunning. In that instant I stepped into the lens of my camera and never stepped out. As a professional dancer, I knew that technique though everything, was nothing without personal artistry.
